Imagine the horrendous experience of discovering that the person you loved abused the child you shared. The grief, the pain and anger at how someone so fragile and dear could be hurt. So you go to the police and they contact child protection and investigate. He is aware of your actions and tries to hide his deed. So he goes for custody of the children. Now imagine that your child is in the hands of a judge that ordered the death of a child despite the history that was also raised...
The legal complications in custody cases where abuse occurs are against children and women. Family Courts are like this everywhere and some are worse than others.
This is sadly because it is profitable to emotionally exploit the protective parent as they know that they will keep going back to court in concern for their child.
In the legal realm of Family Law fear=$$$
Most Family Courts are closed from public scrutiny. Mothers who speak out do this at their peril, but they do this because they know that what has been done is clearly wrong.
